My Setup:
-
Laptop: Acer Nitro 5 AN515-58
-
CPU: Intel Core i5 12th Gen
-
GPU: NVIDIA GTX 4050
-
RAM: 24GB
-
Storage: 1.5TB (SSD/HDD)
-
Ports: Thunderbolt 4 (supports dual 4K @ 60Hz monitors, per manual)
-
-
Docking Station: MOKiN USB-C (Model: MOKN-USB C)
-
Features:
-
2x HDMI
-
1x VGA
-
1x Gigabit Ethernet
-
SD Card Reader
-
USB 3.0
-
-
The Problem:
When connecting two HDMI monitors to the docking station, only one is detected. The only working setup is HDMI + VGA, but my monitors only have HDMI inputs.
Tests Performed:
-
Tried the dock with other devices (Thunderbolt 3 laptops, phones) – same issue persists.
-
The laptop’s manual confirms Thunderbolt 4 supports dual 4K @ 60Hz monitors, so this should work.
Questions:
-
Is this a dock limitation (compatibility issue)?
-
Does the Acer Nitro 5 require specific Thunderbolt 4 settings for dual HDMI output?
-
Has anyone with similar hardware experienced this?
