I've been using my MOUC0218 adapter for two years without major problems attached via Thunderbolt to my Windows 10 computer. I shutdown last night around 5pm, booted up this morning at 8am and the HDMI isn't outputting video anymore.
There have been no updates to the machine, no changes to anything. Same monitors, same power adapter, same computer, same everything. We did not have thunderstorms or power shocks last night.
I have since updated the computer BIOS, updated all the video card drivers (the HDMI still works from the single port on the machine itself), updated the Thunderbolt drivers, updated the USB drivers. Still no HDMI video working from the MOUC0218 adapter.
I think tried MY SON'S Mokin adapter (so something completely different), and his DID NOT WORK either. So this leads me to believe something else is going on.
I also have confirmed that the adapter's USB ports, SD ports, Thunderbolt point, and Audio ports all CORRECTLY work, just NOT the HDMI.
Any ideas?
Hi Rick Wezowicz,
To better solve your problem, please try to do the following:
① Please provide the product SN;
② Try to use another known normal HDMI cable to rule out the possibility of cable failure;
③ Right-click on the desktop and select "Display Settings" to check whether the connected monitor is recognized.
④ Try to connect another computer with C port that supports video output to test whether the HDMI output is normal.
⑤ Could you provide videos or photos of the docking station in use?
Looking forward to your reply.
Best regards
Good Morning Mokin,
The issue is resolved; I tried all the things you had suggested, and I don't know how it originally happened, but I had an idea. I restarted the machine and went into the BIOS. I looked over all the settings, everything was correct, and I did a "Save and Exit".
Immediately upon reboot, everything started working again. I had rebooted many times before this, but it was only after this "clean" BIOS reset per se, everything started working correctly.
This might be a solution for someone else if this happens again.
